These terms apply when you use the LowPolyCrate website, create an account, or obtain assets from it. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. About us
LowPolyCrate is an online store for low-poly 3D assets, run from India. Contact details are on the support page.
2. Your account
- You need an account to buy or claim assets. You sign in with Google or with a one-time link we email you; there is no password. Use an email address that is yours and that you can read: we use it for sign-in links, receipts and replies to support requests.
- Keep access to that email account (or Google account) to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf.
- One person or organisation per account. Do not share an account so that people outside your organisation can download assets.
API keys and AI agents
You can make API keys on your account page to use the API and MCP server from your own code or from an AI coding agent. A key acts as you: it gets exactly the access your account has, and what it downloads is licensed to you as if you had downloaded it on the site. Keep keys secret, and revoke a key if it may have leaked; you are responsible for what is done with your keys. Each key has rate and download limits, shown in the documentation. We may revoke keys that break these terms.
You can also connect an AI app (such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor) by signing in from it and allowing access. A connected app acts as you within the permissions you allowed, under the same rules and limits as a key, and you are responsible for what it does with them. You can disconnect it at any time on your account page; we may disconnect apps that break these terms.
3. Plans
Access to assets comes from a plan rather than from buying assets one by one:
- Free: assets marked Free can be downloaded by anyone with an account, at no cost.
- Lifetime: a one-time payment that gives you every asset in the store, including assets and kits we add later, for as long as LowPolyCrate operates. Lifetime is sold at a founder price to a limited number of customers. The number of seats left is shown on the pricing page and is the real count.
- Pro: a monthly or yearly subscription giving the same access as Lifetime while it is active. See Pro subscriptions below.
Whatever you download through any plan stays licensed to you under the license (section 6), even if your access later ends. The only exception is a refund (section 10).
Purchases of single assets or kits made before plans were introduced keep working exactly as before.
Pro subscriptions
- Renewal. Pro renews automatically at the end of each month or year and charges the card you used, until you cancel. The renewal date and price are shown in your account.
- Your first payment. Pro opens as soon as you finish checkout, while the first charge is still being confirmed (usually a few minutes). If that first charge fails, nothing was paid, so files downloaded in the meantime are not licensed to you and stop being available.
- Switching billing cycle. You can switch from monthly to yearly at any time: you are charged for the year straight away, minus the unused part of the current month, and the year starts that day. A switch from yearly to monthly takes effect when your paid year ends; nothing is refunded or charged before then, and you can undo it until that date.
- Cancelling. You can cancel any time from your account, in one click. Pro then stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. We do not refund the unused part of a period, except as described in the refund policy.
- Failed renewals. If a renewal payment fails, Pro stays active for a short grace period while the payment is retried. If it still fails, Pro is paused until you update your card (on the Billing page of your account), and then comes straight back.
- Price changes. If we change the Pro price, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies, and it applies only from your next renewal after that. You can cancel before then.
- Switching to Lifetime. If you buy Lifetime while on Pro, your Pro renewal is cancelled for you, so you are not charged for both.
4. Prices and payment
- Orders are processed by our reseller, Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. That means Dodo Payments is the seller named on your receipt and invoice, the charge appears on your statement under its name, and its own buyer terms also apply to the payment.
- Prices are shown in US dollars (USD). Depending on where you live, sales tax, VAT or GST may be added at checkout; the checkout page shows the final total before you pay. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts it and may add its own conversion fee.
- You pay on Dodo Payments' secure checkout page. We never see or store your card or bank details.
- A purchase is complete only when Dodo Payments confirms the payment to our server. Until then your order shows as pending. If you were charged and the order still shows as pending after an hour, contact us with the order number.
- If a payment is taken twice for the same order, the duplicate is refunded.
- We may change prices at any time. A price change never affects an order you have already paid for.
5. Digital delivery
- Paid and free assets are delivered as downloads from your account. Nothing is shipped.
- Download links are created on request and expire after a few minutes. You can create a new one from your account whenever you need it.
- When we publish an improved version of an asset you own, or of any asset while your plan gives you access, it is available in your account at no extra cost. Your earlier versions remain licensed to you.
- Keep your own backup of files you rely on. We aim to keep downloads available for as long as the store runs, but we cannot promise that every asset will be available for ever.
6. What you may do with assets
Your use of the assets is governed by the LowPolyCrate Standard License. In short: use them in unlimited personal and commercial projects, and do not redistribute or resell the files themselves.
7. The customization studio
The studio lets you change colours, parts and sizes and export the result. A customized export of an asset is covered by the same license as the asset. Exporting a Pro asset requires access to it through a plan or an earlier purchase.
8. The World Builder and shared scenes
The World Builder lets you arrange assets into a scene in your browser. A scene you save is kept in your account: Free accounts keep up to 3 saved scenes, Pro and Lifetime keep as many as they like. If a plan ends, the scenes you already saved stay and you can still change them, but you can't add more while you are over the Free limit.
If you share a scene, anyone with its link can view it and make their own copy (a "remix") to change. The shared page shows the scene's name, its picture, the assets in it and your display name, never your email address. Shared links are not listed on the site or in search engines, and they stop working as soon as you turn sharing off or delete the scene. Remixes others have already made are their own copies and are not affected.
Sharing a scene shares its arrangement, not the asset files: exporting a scene that contains Pro assets still requires access to them, whoever made the scene. You are responsible for the names you give shared scenes; we may turn sharing off for, or remove, scenes that break these terms.
9. Acceptable use
Do not:
- try to download paid files without buying them, or get around download limits or checks (including by making extra accounts or API keys);
- share download links, account access or files with people who have not bought them;
- scrape the site or use the API to copy the catalogue in bulk, overload it, probe it for security weaknesses without permission, or interfere with other users;
- give a shared scene a name that is abusive, hateful, sexual or that impersonates someone;
- use the site for anything unlawful.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. If we close an account because the license or these terms were broken, licenses obtained through it end too.
10. Refunds
See the refund policy.
11. Availability and changes to the site
We work to keep the site running and the files correct, but the site is provided "as is" and may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may change, add or remove features and assets.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise:
- we are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost data or project delays;
- our total liability for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Changes apply from that date and do not affect orders placed before it.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first; most problems can be sorted out quickly by email. Any dispute that cannot be resolved that way falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
