A village of feudal Japan: a five-storey pagoda, a vermilion shrine hall, a thatched minka farmhouse, a machiya townhouse with a lattice front, a tea house and a kura storehouse; a plaster wall with a roofed gate, a yagura watchtower, a bamboo fence, a flagstone path and a plank walkway; a cherry tree in blossom, a black pine, a bamboo grove, mossy boulders, a koi pond with a red arched bridge, a torii gate, rice paddies, a zen rock garden and a village well; and the life of the village: stone and paper lanterns, a taiko drum, a temple bell, an ema prayer board, sake barrels, rice bales, a handcart, a food stall, a tea bench under a parasol, bonsai and a stone basin.

Every roof sweeps out and turns up at the corners; shrine and bridge timber is vermilion lacquer, walls white plaster between dark cedar posts, with grey tile, granite and bronze. The wall, gate and tower join; the fence, path, walkway and paddies chain on the 2 m grid with the other kits' pieces. Its light is warm: paper and stone lanterns, each glow with a light marker for the World Builder's dusk and night.

Conventions: 1 unit = 1 metre, Y-up, models face +Z, pivot at the centre of the footprint on the ground. Wall, fence, path, walkway and paddy modules are 2.0 m.
